Features 7 to 18 steel drummers, including vocals,
percussions with
saxophone, flute, (violin and harmonica on occasion)
Peforming Calypso, Classical, Yelle, Ska, Jazz, Reggae, Cumbias, Merengue,
Sambas, and other Latino styles set to familiar tunes.
We perfrom songs from artists such as Harry Belefonte, Bob and Ziggy
Marley,
Maxi Priest, Jimmy Buffett, Jimmy Cleff, Salena, Ricky Martin, Gloria
Estafan,
Hugh Masakela, Dizzy Gillespi, Mirian Makeba, Ron Konole, Phil Collins,
Van
Morrison, Alabama, Clay Walker, and of course, our own original music.
Our shows can also include Sharp Hawaiian, Calypso, African, and
Liturgical
dancers.
We are full time and enjoy working with our agents and clients to bring
long
sucessful memories with timelines and neatness.
We have Island and African uniforms, well tuned steel drums, and fun clear
vocalizing. We have superb accoustic steel drum performances with
sensitivity
to sound volume and break times to ensure performance success. Our quality
in
performance is also credited to our local #5 and our booking agents who
have
helped to shape our professional product: Detroit Metro Arts, Success
Academy,
Wayne County Community College, Wayne State University, Friends of and the
Detroit Public Library, where we first started.
