Jonathan Taylor
Music of Russia and Japan
-"Sleeping Beauty Waltz" by Russian great TCHAIKOVSKY is so
beautiful on the guitar, that you can almost imagine yourself floating
down the Volga River. "Song of India" by RIMSKY-KORSAKOV was MR.
TAYLOR'S encore number when he toured India in 1995. BORODIN'S Polovtsian
Dance #2 is a real favorite all over the world. TAYLOR makes the Japanese
music sound as if it is being played on koto. This disc is certainly a
departure from the norm.
